Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Yes, you can edit the information that you have entered in TurboTax, as long as you haven't filed your tax return yet.

Here's how to revisit the Medical deductions section in TurboTax Desktop:

  1. Open your return in TurboTax.
  2. Select Federal, then Deductions & Credits.
  3. Select Update to the right of Medical Expenses.
  4. If you see a question, Are your medical expenses more than $XXX? answer Yes.
  5. If at this point, it still doesn't walk you through the section, select the Forms icon in the upper right corner.
  6. You will see the Medical Expenses worksheet and the entries that you made.

It's not recommended to make entries in Forms mode, but it's helpful to see what is in the return.

As for why the return is behaving this way, you may have more deductions than you need to offset your income. If that's the case, additional entries won't change your results.
