I had checked Electronic Filing History of my return. It shows the old history, it never got updated after my 2nd amendment. I am not sure if it is showing the original filed taxes, or the date of the 1st amended return. the date is mid Feb 2023. 2nd amendment was mid Fed 2024.
I am most frustrated with Turbotax desktop, up until I needed 2nd amendment on my 2022 tax return, and I needed to go back to amend my 2021, and 2020 returns. It all worked smoothly. Now Turbotax does not e-file my 2020, 2021 amended returns. It claims it e-filed my 2nd 2022 return. It had fallen into a black hole.
Turbotax phone help could not give me any e-filing, DCN codes to allow me to trace back my return. Neither IRS nor FTB has received my 2nd amended returns.
So what happens when Turbotax loses one's e-filed returns?
