Qualified business entities and individuals use Form 7205 to:
- Calculate and claim the deduction under section 179D for qualifying energy efficient commercial building property placed in service during the tax year;
- Identify yourself as a designer or the building owner;
- Provide information on the person performing the certification; and
- Provide information on the person completing the allocation.
If that does not apply to you, delete the form.
- Sign in to TurboTax and open your return by selecting Continue or Pick up where you left off.
- In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
- In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
- Select Delete next to the form and follow the instructions.
