I am stockholder in a NYC Cooperative Apartment.
In 2023, I received an abatement and a STAR credit for my real estate taxes.
I do not itemize. I take the standard deduction on my Federal and NYS tax returns.
Do I need to reduce my real estate taxes paid by the dollar amount of these credits on my return?
Again, I do not itemize.
