Get your taxes done using TurboTax

To import your 1099-Bs in TurboTax Online:

  1. Open TurboTax Online
  2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
  3. On the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the Income & Expenses box, then select StartContinue or Pick up where you left off
  4. On the Your income and expenses screen, select the dropdown to the right of Investments and Savings
  5. Select Start or Revisit to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B)
  6. On the Did you have investment income in 2023? screen, select Yes
  7. On the Let's import your tax info screen, select your financial institution.  If it doesn't appear, select the Show more box.  If it still doesn't display, use the search box to search by name or sign-in URL
  8. Follow the screen prompts

To import your 1099-Bs in TurboTax Desktop:

  1. Select FEDERAL TAXES in the banner
  2. Select Wages & Income
  3. Select I'll choose what I work on 
  4. Under Investment Income, select Start or Update to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other
  5. On the Did you sell any of these investments in 2023? screen, select Yes
    • If the Your investment sales summary screen generates, select + Add more sales
  6. On the OK, let's start with one investment type screen, select the Stocks, Bond, Mutual Funds box, then Continue
  7. On the Let Us Enter Your Investment Sale Info screen, select your financial institution.  If it isn't listed, use the search box to search by financial institution name
  8. Follow the screen prompts
