I recently discovered that I forgot to include dividends of around $150 from a 1099-B form on my 2022 tax return. I intend to fill out Form 1040X, but I still have some questions:
- What documents should I send to the IRS? Should I include the original 1040 form, an updated 1040 form, Schedule B form, and should I attach the 1099-B?
- Can I e-file and send all forms electronically as PDF files, or should I print out all paperwork and mail it to the IRS?
