Mike is correct. It would take reinstallation if one decided to switch the OS to 64-bit Windows, so you would need to weigh the ramifications of that move carefully. And as he said, you would also need to consider the effect on your current data and your other current applications that might not be able to reinstall and run on a 64-bit system. It sounds like a terrible amount of work just to be able to run desktop TurboTax.
So Online TurboTax or a competitor's product (if it runs on 32-bit) would be the simpler approach.
