You can *not* upgrade from 32-bit Windows to 64-bit. It has never been possible to change the "bitness" of any version of Windows from 32-bit to 64-bit or vice-versa.
The only way for you to go from 32-bit to 64-bit is by doing a clean installation of 64, and that means losing all your data on the drive. It also means reinstalling and reconfiguring all you programs.

Some programs may not even be installable on a 64-bit OS. I found this out the hard way when I upgraded my OS.
