Marin County was named by IRS as included in a disaster area allowing taxpayers to postpone estimated tax payments for tax year 2023 till October 16, 2023 (Treas. Reg. § 301.7508A-1(d)(1) and (2)). However, TurboTax automatically calculates an underpayment penalty. (The only other path I see would be to annualize.) Is there a way to get around this hurdle?
