Yes, there are a few items that can appear on line 1 of Form 1040, other than box 1 wages from Form W-2. If you look at the 1040, you will see a short abbreviation on line to let you know what the item is.
The abbreviations are as follows:
- SCH - Scholarships
- FB - Fringe Benefits
- HSH - Household Employee Income
- PRI - Prisoner Earned Income
- FEC- Foreign Earned Income
- DCB - Dependent Care Benefits (Box 10 of W-2)
- DFC - Disqualified Financial Contribution from Nonqualified plan (Box 11 of W-2)
