Has anybody ascertained whether this is a TT issue or a Morgan Stanley issue?
I'm looking at the1099-B I printed from MS and I can't see anywhere where NOMINEE or N code is shown. The only name shown on the form is mine. Under Name Reported to the IRS it's also my name.
I may back out the imported 1099--B and manually enter the info to see if that makes the N code disappear.
Also, is the imported data file the same as shown on the printable 1099-B available from E*Trade/MS?
It's disappointing that what should be a feature becomes a pain...
