For Ameriprise, a TurboTax screen will initially ask for a "Package ID" and a "Document ID." I can't see beyond that since I don't have an Ameriprise account. I presume it's asking you to log into Ameriprise after you enter those 2 ID's.
What do you mean by "two-step process?" Are you referring to MFA (multi-factor authentication) where after entering User ID and password you have to get a code on your phone/email or authentication app to enter to continue logging in?
