I fire up TT 2023 and the very first screen says "Good News! We Found Your Tax Info".
Only it isn't good news, because it offers five lines to choose from - each line using one of two File Names and all five choices have the same Last Modified date. So far as I can tell there is no way to select between these five choices. Obviously I have multiple copies of these files in various directories - but the UI doesn't offer any hints as to which directory each line item belongs to.
Of course I can use the Browse option to use a specific file but the first part of the UI would be so much more useful if it offered a tooltip or column that showed the file's directory name. Or some other mechanism to disambiguate the otherwise indistinguishable "file names".
I would have filed a bug report but there doesn't seem to be any straightforward way to do that in TurboTax or on the Intuit web site so I'll just vent/whine here instead.
