If you filed your return and forgot to add a Form W2, you will need to file an amended return using Form 1040X. You will have to wait until your return is processed by the IRS and state before filing the amendment. If you did not file the return, you can still go back and add the additional form using the following steps:
- Open (or continue) your return.
- Search for W-2 and select the Jump to link in the search results.
- On the Your W-2 info so far screen, select Add another W-2.
- Enter the information from the new W-2 on the following screens.
