Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Thank you, XMASBABY0!
I was in IT before, and similarly to what I have seen in IT, the Intuit/TTax company talks "the IT language", not the "user language". A lot of confusion in the Community's Q&As would dissipate if TT's "answerers" clarified first what a user (license) vs. a filer (tax return) is, and were clear in their answers in line with their definition. But many "questioners" are using "user" and "filer" without understanding the difference.
The user sits in front of the computer, and prepares the tax return(s). There is only ONE user per license.
The filer is the person or "entity" (e.g., couple, domestic partners) who needs to have a return prepared and filed.
So, as The One user, I can prepare up to 5 Federal returns for 5 filers.
