- Most states use this same date.
- Taxpayers in Maine or Massachusetts have until April 17, 2024, due to the Patriot's Day and Emancipation Day holidays.
- A handful of states have slightly later filing and payment dates (typically May 1). These include Delaware, Iowa, Louisiana (May 15), New Mexico, South Carolina and Virginia.
