The first $13,800 of income is not taxable for income tax purposes, as noted in ee-ea's earlier reply.
- If you have a small amount above that it will be taxed at 10%.
- If you only have one source of income, you should look at your W-2.
- Box 2 is your income tax withholding.
- You should be getting most, if not all of that back.
- Boxes 4 and 6 are for Social Security and Medicare.
- You will not be getting any of that back.
- Box 2 is your income tax withholding.
