Yes, I found a mistake in TurboTax and reported it. Who knows if they will fix it.
It is in the section where you are calculating withholding per quarter to see if you can remove your underpayment penalty. They show dates from Jan to April, then from April to JULY instead of April to JUNE. Then the next quarter is JULY to Sep, vs JUNE to Sep. If you check IRS forms and documentation, or even use any other software like FreeTaxUSA, you will see them using the correct dates (June).
I even got on a live chat with TurboTax and the person on the chat session was *clueless*. They kept trying to insist I needed someone to explain it to me - LOL! I was doing them a FAVOR by telling them about the error in their software. If people follow the date ranges they give, it will screw up their penalty calculations.
This is very bad. The IRS will potentially catch it and it will be TurboTax's fault.
