I went to the IRS.gov website and it says the IRIS system that accepts all 1099 forms will not be up and accepting 1099s until Wednesday January 10th at 9am.  Wish TurboTax would just post that somewhere.  I've been looking for this answer as I think many of you have for a while now.  So, hope that helps some of you that have been trying to efile your returns.  So, until the IRS is accepting returns, TurboTax can't accept and transmit our returns to the IRS.
