Get your taxes done using TurboTax

As far as I know, no financial institution automatically sends tax documents to Turbotax. As for your security trades and 1099's you have to wait until the broker completes the consolidated 1099-B which is usually at the end of January or even some cases mid-February or later   (for 2024 my broker won't have the documents for import until Mid-February). At that point, you should be able to import the specific electronic file for Turbotax.  From the file tab select "import" then select "from financial institution" then "continue"   From there the steps vary to log into your account to import the trades and other 1099 info.  Be wary and check the results. sometimes OPs have reported incomplete imports or errors. You are the one responsible for the correctness of your tax return.
