What TurboTax could do is make it clear that it's not a finished product until it is finished. Why do you think people buy Premier in November for the following year? It's not like we're expecting a shortage of software downloads. Some of us have non-refundable credits that need to be maximized by selling assets and minimized so as not to incur taxation... and done in the current tax year. We don't need software just to directly complete Schedule D.
