Hello Turbotax Forum,
I just used a federal tax estimator and it shows I owe more than $1000. Also did not pay more than 90% of owed money this year.
My HR is slow in updating the W4 so I don't think they will be able to update my withholding before the year is over. So I was wondering if it's possible to pay IRS directly using the Online payment option or mailing option to avoid penalty.
If not is there any other way to avoid penalty if you owe more than $1000 and did not pay more than 90% owed?
