Airbnb - days available v. days rented for deductions?
I have an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) that I rent on AirBnB. It is a basement apartment with separate entrances but not metered separately for utilities. I have seen multiple answers about prorating deductions based on the actual dates rented but some services need to be provided regardless of if someone is actual staying there. If the apartment is listed as available for rent but no one is staying there - can I include those dates? Example - I have to pay for the internet/TV service regardless if someone stays or not because the apartment but is available for rent. Same with insurance.
