I’m anticipating 2023 will be the first I itemize due to now having child daycare costs, mortgage interest and SALT items that should nudge us above the married filing jointly standard deduction. Since I’ve never itemized before I want to ensure I capture all the categories that can be itemized. What are other common itemization categories for W2 employees besides the one listed above? Are things like home renovations and internet/cell phone costs able to be deducted if I work from home?
