@JeannePeterson I suspect and have no proof, that you are up against the infrastructure design at Turbo Tax.  

 

Since they only provide one tax year online at a time, I suspect they need the 5 weeks from the end of October until December 3 (2023 launch date)  to "promote" and test the new tax year software on the website. 

 

You are not charged for efile, so while it may inconvenient to print and mail the return, it is available. 

 

Be sure you are only print what is required; all the supporting schedules are NOT required. 

 

While I appreciate the IRS moved the filing deadline to November 16, that did not require Turbo Tax to move their deadline to efile.   Further, if you are due a refund, the deadline to claim that refund is in 3 years, so filing by November 16 is really not an imperative.
