Your deductions on the home would be limited to mortgage interest and real estate taxes on Schedule A, both subject to limitations. Your typical rental deductions, including depreciation, would stop.
Any day you let someone use the home free of charge or even rent at less than fair rental is considered to be a day of personal use.
