Get your taxes done using TurboTax
I prepare tax returns for my daughter and son-in-law.
Our investments are with Raymond James.
In 2021 our account was transferred from Wells Fargo to Raymond James.
My daughter inherited an IRA from her deceased father. When the account transferred to Raymond James, it was miscategorized. Her required withdrawals were categorized as "early withdrawals." I discovered this when I prepared the 2022 Tax Return.
I contacted our Raymond James Advisor. He advised us to file for an extension while RJ made the correction.
To this date, RJ has not made the correction. Our Advisor assured us that it would be done so we could file by the extension date.
It is now a week past the expiration date of the extension. It still has not been corrected. Our Advisor told us to file for a second extension.
I called up the Return to ask for a second extension, but it said there are no second extensions.
What do I do now?
