Yes, you can file late (if you even need to file). If there is withholding in box 2 of your W-2, you have three years (from 4-15-23) to file a 2022 federal tax return for a refund.
Taxes are complicated. There may be other reasons for filing a tax return. Are you eligible for the Earned Income Credit? Are you eligible for the health insurance credit?
