I filed my student child's amended tax return for both Federal and California filing. The Federal return is accepted successfully but the state return is rejected with an REJ001 error stating that the Federal return has not been accepted. Even after waiting for 2 months and retransmitting both the Federal and State returns, the result is still the same. Moreover, my federal and state return filings as parents are also rejected because of a cited error in my child's tax return. The amendment was because we missed ticking the box that he is claimed as a dependent in the original filing.
There is no error in the Review section of any of the tax return. How do I fix this? Thanks.
