Sorry for your recent loss. It is a great idea to estimate any tax you may owe for 2023. You can use this tool to estimate your 2023 taxes, https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/.
You can also estimate the 2023 taxes by signing in to your TurboTax account, and from the Home Page click on Add A State. You are back in your 2022 tax return and be careful not to change any of the information. Then click on Other Tax Situations, click on Other Tax Form, and W4 and Estimated Taxes. Answer no to update your Form W4 and yes to estimated taxes.
The tool, https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/, will calculate how much of your social security income and railroad retirement income is taxable as the amount is based on your other income.
