Be sure that you have entered the taxes that were withheld for Georgia as part of your Federal tax return. The information about the withholding will then transfer to your Georgia return.
Use the following steps:
- On the top row of the TurboTax screen, click on Search
- This opens a box where you can type in “other withholding” (be sure to enter exactly as shown here)
- The search results will give you an option to “Jump to other withholding”
- Click on the blue “Jump to other withholding” link
- Scroll down to Other Income Taxes Paid in 2021
- Click Start beside Withholding not already entered on a W-2 or 1099 and then answer 'yes'
- Be sure to enter the information in the second line of data and choose Georgia in the drop-down box
