You may no longer get a NY extension of time to file a 2022 income tax return if your original filing due date was March 15, 2023, or April 18, 2023.

However, taxpayers with special filing deadlines may be able to get an extension of time to file their 2022 income tax returns. The link has the exceptions that qualify.
