Get your taxes done using TurboTax

You may need to activate Inventory under the Expense topic on the business summary page in TurboTax Online.

 

  1. To review your entries for your business, open your return and search on "schedule c" then click "jump to schedule c."
  2. Choose Edit under the business you need to work on.
  3. Review the list of Expenses. If Inventory isn't shown, click "Add Expenses for this work" at the bottom.
  4. If Inventory isn't shown for common expenses, click on Less Common expenses.
  5. These are in alphabetical order, so you may need to select the next page to see Inventory.
  6. Check the box beside Inventory, then Continue.
  7. Now click Start beside Inventory on the list of Expenses and follow the interview to report your beginning & ending inventory, purchases, etc., for your Cost of Goods Sold.
