You cannot get access to TurboTax Live assistance or Full-Service assistance with the desktop applications. You can, however, follow these steps to start your AZ amended return in TurboTax Desktop:
- Open the TurboTax CD/Download software
- Under Need to File an Amended Return?, select Amend a Filed Return
- Select Amend for the return you need to amend
- Select Continue on the We’ll help you change (amend) your return screen
- Select Yes, I’ve already filed my return
- Choose the option that best applies when asked Tell us a little more about your amend situation and Continue
- On the next screen, select Update next to State Return
- Continue through the screens to make the necessary changes to your state return
- When you go through the state return, on the Additional Standard Deduction for Charitable Contributions, you can enter the $800 and TurboTax will create the Form 321 (as appropriate) to include with the amended return
