How do I check if Turbotax has an electronic copy of my 2021tax returns I had to file by mail?
In my original 2020 return, it inadvertently took a substantial carryover deduction that had also been taken in 2019. With the help of TurboTax, I amended the 2020 return correcting Part III Contribution Carryover to 2021 of my amended 2020 Charitable Contributions Summary. Because my mailed 2020 Amended 1040X was not processed by IRS when I filed my 2021 1040SR, I had to override several entries on the 2021 Part III Contribution Carryover to 2022 of my Charitable Contributions Summary because Turbotax was apparently using the unamended and incorrect 2020 data. Because of these overrides I needed also to file my 2021 1040SR by mail. Both returns were eventually accepted by IRS after many months.
I need to know how to do my TurboTax 2022 1040SR and have my 2021 Part III Contribution Carryover to 2022 applied by TurboTax and also the data on my many individual charitable contributions. I am uncertain if TurboTax has my 2021 1040SR on file electronically. Your Enrolled Agent (EA) Pat last year had me redo my draft 1040SR using an online website to download a second TurboTax copy giving her easier access to help me do the needed overrides of my Charitable Contributions Summary - case number: [phone number removed].
Please have an agent call me at (removed) to determine which version of Turbo|Tax to download for the 2022 1040SR, and check if my Part III Contribution Carryover to 2022 of my 2021 Charitable Contributions Summary is in the TurboTax system. Thank you.
