To remove the mortgage interest from your Federal and State you can delete the Form as follows:
Steps to Delete a Form:
Sign in to your online account
Continue working on your return
Click Tax Tools on the left sidebar
Click Tools on the drop-down
Click "Delete a form" on the “Tools Center” screen
Scroll to the 1098 and click Delete
Confirm the delete
Clear your Cache, before logging back into your TurboTax.
