Thank you!  Since you are using the desktop version, you can switch to Forms mode. Locate  Part-Yr/NR Wks. Part 2 - Income Allocation, line 1 has the entry for your NC income during residence. Enter the correct amount there.

You should be able to switch back to step by step and complete your return.
