Without knowing what the income was from, it would be difficult to say where to report it on your tax return. However, you could report it as Other Income by following these steps in TurboTax and it will be added to your income and be taxed as ordinary income:
- Choose the Federal option on your left menu bar
- Choose Wages & Income
- Find Less Common Income
- Choose Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C
- Choose Other reportable income
- Answer Yes to the question Any Other Taxable Income?
- Enter a description and amount of the income
