Get your taxes done using TurboTax
No, advisory fees are no longer deductible on your federal return. If you file a state tax return, it may be allowed on your state return.
You can enter them here and if they can be used on your state, the information will flow from there:
- Select Federal from the left side menu, then Deductions & Credits.
- Scroll down to Retirement and Investments.
- Expand the section and click Start to the right of Other Investment Expenses.
- Click Enter my expenses in the lower right corner.
- You can enter your total fees in the box next to Investment Advisor Fees.
