Activation Fails - "We have run into an issue connecting with your computer" 3 hours on phone with support with no resolution
Hi All,
Bought TurboTax Home & Business this morning on Amazon. After install and updates on my Windows 11 PC, went to activation and get this error message after entering my activation code: "We have run into an issue connecting with your computer and can't launch TurboTax." I have tried all the different tricks from the forums and been on with support for 3 hours without resolution (very nice people though). Here is what I have tried, and have gone through mixed permutations of them, unsuccessfully up to this point:
1) Disable Firewall and Antivirus software
2) Reboot modem and router, and also tried tethering my laptop to my cell phone to bypass it all together
3) Hard coded DNS to know server for my ISP, and also the 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 trick
4) Changed screen resolutions and % adjustments
5) Installed Perrel Super Patch
6) Uninstalled TurboTax and re-installed using direct download from Support Team
7) Enabled SSL configurations for SSL 3.0, TLS 1.2, and allowing software to run with invalid signatures in 'Internet Options'
Only remaining item I have not been able to get support is related to the error logs in my appdata folder. There are errors about network connections that cannot be established due to invalid certificates. Here are some snippets from the log:
