Frankly, and please take this in the spirit in which it is intended (imparting knowledge generally), the "best solution" issue has been debated ad nauseum (for years).
The question was simply, "How could users be sure the answers were correct, in many instances, if they did not know the answers in the first place (and had to ask the questions)?" FYI, there have been many instances where an answer was marked as an accepted solution but that answer was not correct.
