My e-file was rejected due so I filed and paid via check. Today my bank is showing an ACH hold on my account for the amount i sent via check for taxes due. Is this a duplication of the check? My understanding is if it was rejected then no $$ left my account electronically. The check was sent a week ago and is yet to clear. Concerning though that this ACH hold is an electronic payment and NOT the check and thereby a duplicate payment. Is it possible that the efile was rejected but the payment still taken electronically?
