None of the posted solutions I saw here worked, so I am posting the one I discovered that did work for me. I went into Users & Groups and "reset" my computer login password (this is the one you use to login after restart, when the computer goes to sleep, or when the system wants to be sure when you're asking it to install software). I actually kept the password the same, but I went through the motions and restarted. The next time the message popped up from TurboTax, suddenly this very same computer login password was accepted and, to my relief, the message disappeared and was able to continue on with my tax preparation.
