Huh? I was replying in the thread to confirm that TurboTax is handling this incorrectly.
For IP PIN it is populating with the five-digit TurboTax PIN number transferred from last year. This causes the e-file to be rejected. What it needs is the six-digit IRS IP PIN number.
And as far as I can tell, the IRS doesn't necessarily send you one in the mail. I have an online account and was only able to retrieve it there. Along with it, it says that the IRS says, "You will not receive an IP PIN notice."
