Since you live in KS and work in MO, the program only knows what is entered on the w2. You do not have to enter what is on the w2 in the w2 section for state. You can enter the correct amount. You have records proving the correct figures so you can enter and pay taxes only on the correct wages. Your KS return should reflect all income earned from everywhere with a credit for tax paid to MO.
