To enter the amount in box 9 cash liquidation distribution in TurboTax online:
- Sign in to your TurboTax account and open (continue) your return
- Select Federal from the left menu, then Wages & Income
- Locate the section titled Investments & Savings and select Show More, then select Start or Revisit next to Dividends on 1099-DIV
- Check the box My Form has info in more than just these boxes.
A liquidating distribution is not taxable until you recover the basis of your stock.
