We recently moved from AZ to TX so I was pleased to see that when I am checking whether I should Itemize Deductions or use the Standard Deductions, TurboTax has a built in function that can estimate the amount of sales tax I paid with only a few receipts to determine my sales tax rate. It was almost $2000 this year for us. The sales tax you pay is an Itemized Deduction. We had no extraordinary purchases (e.g. buying a boat) so the built in estimate function only required a single input.
