Get your taxes done using TurboTax
I even called the TT helpline and the helpful young lady couldn't solve this. It's taken me 3 hours and I'm furious with Intuit. This is just plain irresponsible Fubar on Intuit's part - I only dowloaded the program this evening and clearly this has been an issue for months. Next year I'll do H&R Block.
The problem is this. With the latest macs and Ventura (13.2.1 in my case) you may not have your login password associated with the keychain app. I don't know if this is a deliberate security pass or a fail on Apple's part but if this happens to you, your login won't work on the stupid popup from TT asking for keychain access.
If possible, get out of TT entirely - force quit if you have to. Go to system applications > Utilities > Keychain Access app. At the top of the page, highlight login (first item on the left) and then across from that highlight passwords from the line of items along the top of the page. The logins should be listed alphabetically.
Doubleclick the one for Intuit. Click on the right tab for Access Control. At this point, if you don't see TurboTax 2022 listed, then add it using the "+"at the bottom of the box. Then click on the button at the top of the box that says "Allow all applications to access this item."
In my case, I did this once and it worked. Also, when I re-opened the keychain item the listing for TT 2022 so that I could write this, the listing for TT 2022 had disappeared. The good news is that TT 2022 now opens so no more keychain message, and the probram appears to be its normal, slightly clunky self.
