Not knowing which of the three methods you used to get your 1099-INT or 1099-DIV into TurboTax, I will try to answer your questions the best I can.
There are three methods to enter any Tax document into TurboTax:
- The import method requires that you provide your financial institution login credentials. Some financial institutions require that you grant the app permission to access your accounts. If allowed by the financial institution, using this method allows for importing all tax documents at once.
- The download method, for some financial institutions the only option is to download the 1099-INT or 1099-DIV form(s) to your computer and then upload it into TurboTax. If using this method my experience is to download each 1099-INT or 1099-DIV individually and then upload each of them into TurboTax.
- The manual method is to manually enter each 1099-INT or 1099-DIV.
