"File" on the menu bar not responding or late responding (20+ seconds)

Turbotax Deluxe program didn't respond or took 20+ seconds to respond when I click the "File" in the menu bar and tried to save the tax file in the middle of preparing the tax return.    Alternatively, I clicked  "X" on the  upper right corner and saved the file before exiting the program.  It's a cumbersome way of backing up the progress.

 

I am running Windows 10 and the PC is not loaded with other programs.  Of course, I have tried restarted the PC several times.

 

Is this an known issue and is there a solution?
